Well, I finally got to see the complete schedule (http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/story/9077009) and at least one game raises the eyebrow for roadie planning

Cotton Jan. 2 11 a.m. Dallas, Texas Texas Tech vs. Alabama FOX

Houston Dec. 31 2:30 p.m. Houston, Texas Iowa State vs. Texas Christian ESPN2

Independence Dec. 30 3:30 p.m. Shreveport, La. South Carolina vs. Missouri ESPN

Sun Dec. 30 2 p.m. El Paso, Texas Northwestern vs. UCLA CBS

Alamo Dec. 28 8 p.m. San Antonio, Texas Michigan vs. Nebraska ESPN

Fort Worth Dec. 23 8 p.m. Fort Worth, Texas Houston vs. Kansas ESPN

New Orleans Dec. 20 8 p.m. Lafayette, La. Arkansas State vs. Southern Miss ESPN

Just from a fan standpoint and maybe even "just to go there", I'd like to see Vegas and Cal/BYU could be a fun game, but these are the closer trips, El Paso, Northern Mexico, being the exception. Miami-LSU could be ugly, if not interesting anyway.

The NOLA Bowl: I guess I would just go to party with fellow coons. But, Tuesday(!?!) is probably the big disqualifier right there.

Forth Worth: My friend has Kansas connections, I like the Coogs just enough, and with extended familia in Cow Town...this might be a Friday off from work, assuming I'm not off as it is.

Alamo: Party in San Anton', and some game with big (though overrated) names. Nice. If I am back on my old shift at the plant by then, this will be on my week off.

Sun Bowl: Probable shootout, I hate UCLA for some reason, and I haven't been to EP since I was 10. I love places with mountains. Oooh, Friday off?

Independence: Semi-close by, but no real lust for either team. Wait a sec, the "ol' ball coach" is on SoCar's sideline. But, it might be snowing and I've driven enough in snow to cross this one out.

Houston: Hometown bowl, possible day off, good matchup, and the chance to see quality ball at Reliant Stadium!

Cotton: GUNS UP RAIDERS! Probably be cold as hell is warm, but this one could be fun as well. Not on a day off, I bet. Ooops.

I'm possibly eyeing Houston, Fort Worth, Alamo, and Cotton in order of likelihood. Of course, I may end up having cable TV in the apartment I'm eyeing closer to the plant--moving over the holiday. Hmmm. Long semester = needed catch-up on rest!

How's it looking for the rest of you? Discuss.

The lady and I are Nebraska and Michigan fans. That and my sister lives 2 hours away, so when we saw who we were playing, and where, we decided this was the one to go to. Love San Antonio. Great city. Should be fun, reguardless of the outcome of the game. I think we are going to show up wearing both teams colors. LOL. I do have to say, I am routing for Nebraska, as we need the exposure for recruiting, but I am being realistic, and expecting the Big Blue to win the game.

I've been to see Nebraska play in three bowls in my lifetime and I wish I could give them all back to support them now - show that the Husker Nation is still strong no matter the current situation - but I am so broke I can't even afford to pay attention.

I also wish I could support my local team (Rutgers) in the Insight Bowl.

:( Rose Bowl tix sold out in five minutes on Ticketmaster. Guess I'll just have a big party.

If you got 2k to spend go to ebay. I was also fortunate enough to get field passes for the entire game by absolute luck, cant get any better than that. I'm not gonna spend a whole lot of time on the field during the game cuz I actually want a good perspective of whats going on.

Is is just me or is this wait for Jan 4th seem like the days are moving in slow motion? Screw Christmas, screw New Years, when is kick off?
