I got this printer, and it does a great job, but I have one complaint. I bought a complete set of Compatable ink cartrages [5] and when I ran out of ink, I loaded one of these compatable ink cartrages in it. The darn printer wont print with any compatable ink cartrage. I bought from 2 different store that said they should work. Any ideas on how to make the compatable ink cartrages work, I dont like the real expensive Ebson ink, as i dont always need the qualiy that it produces.
black ink is black ink as far as i am concened on a letter.

It could be a defective cartridge.
Try trading it for the equivalent from where you bought them.
If you have to do this more than twice, it may be cheaper to buy ink from the manufacturer.
If the printer is real old (more than 5 yrs), It may be time to get a new one.
It may have just kicked the bucket is my guess.
