Depending on the climate of the country - it's not convenient and sometimes too dangerous especially during monsoon seasons or rainy days. Rivers swell up, wind is too strong, tree branches fall and lots and lots of mossies - some that causes malaria and dengue fever.

But again, one can always camp in the backyard :P

I live in Canada, and I've been camping regularly since before I went to school. I've been all over the lower mainland of BC, as well as Vancouer & Pender island, the sunshine coast, various places in Ontario, Michigan, Oregon and Costa Rica. I'm hoping to go over-seas (to Europe, eastern Russia, Australia, or Egypt) eventually but won't be doing any of that sort of stuff any time soon. Travel & nature go great with each other... If anyone is interested in camping but has never done so, check out www.ecampingspot.com for useful tips and information!

how bout camping in MAUI HAWAII?

im goin, seems like a good idea to lower the cost of the trip (hotels or condo;s)

and spend it on diving or a hellacopterflight

is there alot of posssibility of camping out in maui, where you want, in the wild sort of speaking? or is it best to just stay at a camp park

also , anyone who's been there, please tell me all about it!!

omg i love to camp but usually only durring the summer its no fun having to deal with rain when your camping... its cold and wet.. its a pain in the butt to stay warm tents no matter how good they are usually seem to leak or absorb water and then everything is wet. idk i like to camp when we can set out side and have a fire and roast marshmllows. and drink hot coco at night and see all the amazing stars

I posted a similar thread, but only got one reply. Here is what my thread said

I am doing some market research on camping and if you are one of the many who enjoy camping, including fishing, hunting, hiking, canoing, and the such we would appreciate your input:

    1) How old were you when you began camping?

    2) How often do you go camping?

    3) What activities do you enjoy doing while you are camping?

    4) What camping items do you regularly purchase?

    5) Do you carry many gadgets with you such as phones, laptops, GPS, MP3, and the such?

    6) How do you feel about solar generators to charge gadgets, lanterns, and flashlights?

Thank-you for assisting me with my market research. Once the site is up and running I will be happy to send coupons to your myspace or regular e-mail boxes. Just state whether you would be interested in receiving coupons. I will respect your decision if you should decide you do not wish to receive offers. I will only be sending out coupons to those who specifically state interest.
