that statement shows your true ignorance.

You wouldn't just be a homer because Spurrier is now coaching at South Carolina, would you?

State your reasons for why you believe Spurrier is the better coach.

ron I think he did state his reasons. Look at his massive post about Spurrier and his resume'. This is the kind of question that has no answer, really. Spurrier won at Duke, which is incredible, but Meyer took Utah to a BCS game, which is also impressive.

Spurrier has the better track record right now, but Meyer may eventualy pass him. I think they're both great college coaches. I think Spurrier's NFL debacle took some luster from him, but the same thing happened to Pete Carrol and look at him now.

Spurrier is the far better coach at this moment in time. Ten years from now? God only knows.

    1) Has never had a losing season.

    2) Has never lost more than 3 games in a season.

    3) Has never won less than 8 games in a season.

    4) Has won at least 10 games in 50% of his seasons (3 times).

    9) Has one "perfect" season.

    10) Has outscored his opponents by a 100+ point margin over the course of the season in every season.

    Steve Spurrier:

    1) Has never had a "perfect" season

    2) Has one losing season.

    3) Has lost 4 or more games in six seasons.

    4) Has won fewer than 8 games in a season 3 times.

    5) Only has ONE national championship in 17 seasons.

    6) Has just a 75.6% winning percentage.

    7) Has five seasons in which he was not able to outscore opponents by 100+ over the course of the season.

If you include Steve's professional record:

    8) He never had a winning season in the NFL. (7-9; 5-11)

    LMAO!

Um...no...he simply posted the "about me" section on each coach from their website.

Spurrier is a worse college coach and overall coach than Meyer. The statistics clearly show this.

Winning at Duke is NOT incredible. Duke played in two Rose Bowls long before Spurrier arrived. Duke is not that bad they are just outmatched in the ACC.

Meyer is clearly the better coach.

You do realize that Spurrier built the Florida program right? He is responsible for both of the Gators' National Championships and if he didn't have all of that success in the 90's then Urban Meyer wouldn't be sitting high and pretty. Mike I know you hate the man, but you have to respect him as a great coach.
