Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling star in the dramatic thriller Fracture. "Fracture" is packed with twists and turns that weave in and out of the courtroom as the pair try to outwit each other. "September Dawn" is a fictional Romeo and Juliet relationship love story set against the background of the controversial real-life massacre of 120 men, women and children traveling through Utah in the nineteenth century.
The Mountain Meadows Massacre, as it is known, occurred on September 11, 1857, and was the first known act of religious terrorism on U.S. soil. A group of Mormons, many disguised as Paiute Indians, slaughtered all but 17 small children on a wagon train on its way to California. One man, the adopted son of Mormon leader Brigham Young, was eventually executed for the crime -- 20 years after the event. The film is deemed controversial because it presents a point of view held strongly by hundreds of direct descendants of the massacre: that the iconic Brigham Young had complicity in the massacre, a view denied by the Mormon Church, even today.

"Battle Angel" is based on the Japanese Manga series of graphic novels by Yukito Kishiro. The movie combines the first three books, Ido, Alita, and Hugo.
Set in the 26th century, the story takes place 300 years after a societal collapse caused by a major war. But in that society, it's a technological dark age following a pinnacle of achievement far, far beyond where we are <myspace>right</myspace> now. It's a post-apocalyptic world from a very high level with cyborg technology as just a way of life. People are augmented a lot as workers and so on, so being a cyborg is not unusual.
The main character is a cyborg. She has an organic human brain, and she looks like she's about fourteen years old. She has a completely artificial body and she's lost her memory - she's found in a wreckage and she's reconstituted by a cyber-surgeon who becomes her surrogate father.
