word, widespread lawlessness yet 2 people were arrested, he going on rumors spread around by cab drivers of shootings and such, then he wants to take the game to Europe like there are no thugs in Europe or like these same "thugs" cant catch a plane. smh

True - well not the 2 folks arrested part- but the no thugs in Europe part. Im sure everyone knows there has traditionaly been a problem with hooligans at soccer events. They got past this by having a large police presence to deter such actions.

Heres a quote on Vegas law enforcement from Al Harrington

"The biggest thing about Vegas is that there's no police. ... I lived out there for two months this summer and I probably saw one cop car, so it's a free-for-all. ... If people want to come in and start trouble, they've got a free pass because the only security or police is in the casinos. Anything outside, do whatever you want."

An event on this scale without adequate policing? Not a good idea. But the number of incidents are NOT out of proportion in any shape or form. Yet dude keeps making threads about it.....

He is an idiot, but to be fair - he wasn't arrested over the weekend... and (unless I missed it( still has not been, though it could be coming.

A writer from SI suggested they combine Football, Basketball, Hockey and Baseball into one All Star sports extravaganza. Where the <myspace><myspace>top</myspace></myspace> picks from each sport would compete against all the other athletes in skills competitions. He also suggested they have it in Vegas every year. He argues that the timing would be <myspace><myspace>right</myspace></myspace&g t; with NFL just ending, NBA and NHL needing a break, and MLB just about to head into sprinng training...

Not realistic, but interesting... I would love to see Shaq on skates. Or see Peyton Manning try and hit a fastball...
