    Julie Andrews made me a sandwich.

    Actually that didn't happen to me, but to a friend of mine. How about, "Bob Dylan taught me everything he knows.." ? :0)

    Oh, just thought of another one. One of my music professors was a 9th generation student of J.S. Bach. So that makes me....nothin'.

    As a matter of fact, the compliment I am most proud of was after a gig at the Bedford Arms in Balham. Antonio Forcione (Italian virtuoso guitarist) volunteered that I had 'a lovely touch' on the guitar. :0)

    So, my mom bought me music lessons from this guy who's got this aunt who has a son and his exwifes' third husband was in the army and he flew in the same plane with ELVIS! So it's no wonder I'm so amazingly talented with that kind of musical background and all. So CMO at my new site my mom bought me, hppt;//www.mymommy.com/canwhoopyourmommy/mommybuysmemoreguitars/ mommygetsmygigs. See my podcast direct from my moms kitchen. BYOB! Wow, I'm impressed, dude! I guess that means that since I live near the Rock and Roll <s>Shack of Shame</s> Hall of Fame, I'll be famous soon!

    I met Martin Carthy at a folk festival.

    He really liked my recipe for BBQ chicken wings.

    Paddy Reilly congratulated me on having got married recently.

    Liam Clancy sang "Shenandoah" to my son when he was an infant

    Tom Lewis shared pirate stories with son when he was a toddler

    The lead singer from La Vent du Nord traded jokes with my son

    Actually, my kid is more popular among musicians than I am.

    Oh, one of the guys from the sea chanty group Forebitter did say one of our recordings was the finest version of that song he'd ever heard. Oh, you haven't of Forebitter?!

    Not strictly music but I did have a chat with the late great Emlyn Hughes (ex-England soccer captain);

    He asked me for directions in Hull, I never liked him so sent him completely in the wrong direction. 10 minutes later I saw him drive past, this time going teh <myspace><myspace>right</myspace></myspace&g t; way, he didn't s<myspace><myspace>top</myspace></myspace&g t; for another chat, so I was <myspace><myspace>right</myspace></myspace&g t; not to like him.
