Wow! That was a shocker! Nathan is Claires daddy! Didn't see that one coming! Well she already met uncle Peter. So i'm hoping she will meet Nathan next week. Can't wait til next week!!

the previews they showed last week kind of gave it away. The designer dress shirt with the sleeve rolled up, the gold watch, the thick italian arm hair. I thought that was so obviously Nathan.



Bigger shocker (although this was from last week): George Takai (a.k.a. Mr. SULU!) at Hiro's father! That was just so completely appropriate, especially considering that Star Trek quotes were among Hiro's first lines of the entire series.

I wonder if George Takei takes Japanese lessons or if like many 1st gen americans knows it from the 'rents.

I think he learned from his parents. His bio mentions being put in camps with all the other Japanese back during WWII. I would guess he is 1 gen and was taught English almost as a second language.

Well, maybe that is why he has not been in the picture as Clair's father. It is not his thing! But that does add a bit of intrigue.

I don't know if he knows her by name. But if he does, it is kinda f'd up. The phone call from Clair's real mom did not get that specific. Well, at least they did not go into that much detail in the show.

Yeah that was crazy when I found out... I literally yelled out "No way!"

I was leaning towards it being him, but was thinking it might be a good time to introduce Linderman since he's so connected.

I am so angry at claires mom..what a bitch! Why does she lie! And it broke my heart when Nathan looked like he was crying! Oh god if i was claire i would have stormed into the trailer while they were talking!

George Takei is fluent in English, Japanese and Spanish and has been for years. I assume he learned Japanese either from his parents or maybe they sent him to "Japanese school" like Masi Oka's parents did.
