If I was Brady I would be bitching in the off season big time. Not 1 play maker out there.

Would they have won with Deion Branch? If Caldwell catches 2nd one he dropped it would have run more time off the clock. I KNOW 1st one he dropped made no difference.

Brady was 1 play from winning, 3rd down with 2 minutes left and him and reciever weren't on same page though it was experienced guy he threw too. Still not 1 playmaker on the team he can go to in the clutch and they get that close?

Colts were lucky. Pats fly across the country TWICE in week before , players have the flu.

It was a great game, what sports should be like and what you get when you have great coaching on both sides.

brady just proved why he is the best right now. If he had even one receiver that wasnt a no name he would have won that game. Brady did everything he could to win new englands defense just fell apart,

Your defense would fall apart too if they were on the field as long as the New England Defense was. They showed a grafic in the middle of the 3 quarter, time of possesion since the middle of the second quarter, the possesion was something like 15:00 to 2:00 minutes. The Colts offense went into a hurry up in the 4th quarter so the defense couldn't sub. Now despite those previous statements, I am happy the Patriots lost. I really don't care about either team in the superbowl, but the Colts are in the same conference as my Bengals so I'll root for them.

    They need T.O.

ha ha ha ... he'd still drop passes.

    2 things:

    1) He probably misses Branch - but looking back - Branch benefitted at least as much from Brady as Brady did from him.

    2) Calwell's eyes seemed opened big and wide. He looks like he is in perpetual surprise.

the reson the patriots lost wasn't because they didn't have Branch it's because theie defense couldn't hold a lead.

i guess that shows you cant depend on under the radar WR's.. caldwell has butter fingers when hes wide open.

IT WAS total arrogance on the part of Robert Kraft and the GM of the team.

had they paid branch and had they even not let Givens get away there is a good chance that this would be a rematch between the Bears and the Pats

Perhaps, but I think it was more of a case that they felt that Branch was the arrogant one. The Patriots got here because they have a system of paying players. They believe certain positions deserve X amount of dollars, with the quarterback and both interior lines being the most essential.
