I was wondering what your favorite veggie was and how do you like it.

I like all sorts of veggies but steamed broc always does it for me.

My mom used to make boiled carrots all the time and wanted me to eat tem. Problem was she'd boil them to death almost like mush and so I hated them. I like carrots and still do but I hate boiled to death carrots.

Because it's commonly considered a vegetable, though it's biologically not, I'll go with tomatoes.

I also love peas, especially snow peas and snap peas, but never canned ones except in canned soups.

Hmmm, this was such a difficult question that I had to call someone to discuss.

If it's for cooking purposes (in dishes), it has to be onions. It's hard for me to cook anything without starting with them. Mushrooms come in at a close second.

If it's a standalone, I'll have to say broccoli.

I enjoy pickled beets, with a little butter

cucs...tomatoes (not as much cooked tho)

depends on what you mean by 'favorite' I suppose:

for versatility: eggplant...101 ways to prepare

for eating raw: carrots or turnip

    for steamed: broccoli

    for mashed: sweet potato

    Onions, cooked or raw

Taters, cooked anyway but especially roasted

Peas, boiled and not from a can

Cabbage, cooked or raw but only like red cabbage raw

Heinz baked beans, think they are navy beans

I'm not a huge fan of cooked vegetable because like you, I don't dig the mush. I eat more vege raw because of this.

Mushy Yuck! All Moms made mushy vegies, and over done pasta. God to love the Asparagus, and Spinach.

*looks resentful* MY Pasta is never overdone...it is hand made of all semolina and done to perfection...the boxed stuff can't top this! And yes, I'm a mom. P.S. my veggies are cooked but crisp.

I have to admit, my 1950's mother DID indeed over cook the veg...for that matter, she overcooked everything. I usually say that I learned to cook in self-defense!
