I woke up and I was wanting my glass of milk. When I put my feet over the side of the bed I felt hands around my ankles holding them tightly. They stayed around my ankles for 20 seconds or so. I was frozen in fear, too scared to scream or move. I tried to scream but nothing came out of my lungs. I was wide awake. All of a sudden the hands let go. I ran as fast as I could to my mom and dads room. I'm still a little frightened to this day that it will happen again, 20 years later. That was one of many things that happened in a very haunted house we lived in in Germany. No. 2 Hiedelbingerhof, I'll never forget that address. Just curious how many other people have had experiences with Ghosts, or anyones religious P.O.V. on the subject.

    Sounds scary.

    I had experiences too.

Woke up one night to find my friend in my room with his head in his hands rocking back and forth. I kept asking him what was wrong and why he was there, soon, I thought, 'maybe I am dreaming', so I turned round, touched the wall, pinched myself, composed myself, breathed deeply, turned back round, he was still there. I approached him, and just as I got close, he pixellated and fizzled out into the air. I ran!

I have had afew little incidents, but one that was VERY scary when I was 18. Ten yrs later I still get a little scared talking or thinking about it again. Mine was at my Nanny's house. After it was over, a neighbor called a friend of his who was a professor at Baylor paranormal research. When their team came out and did their tests (though, I'm not for surewhat these tests consisted of) they came back with ALOTof activity. After a bit more research it was discovered that on the back of her property there was an old indian burial ground. She sold the house, 3 other families tried to live there, but it has been demolished since.

    Another dream</font color>

    I agree.

The weird thing was that I wondered if it was a dream, took some time out, concluded rationally that I was awake....

I dont believe in ghosts. It must have been a vrey, very lucid dream.

My daughter and I had an experience with a ghost, and while it was pretty weird, there was nothing remotely frightening about it. This was at a bed and breakfast in Canada, that the owner told us was haunted in the morning when we got up there (my wife had had an odd experience during the night). The next evening, which was dramatically stormy and had us talking about how it would be a good night to see a ghost, I was playing a card game with my daughter in the downstairs living room. It is an unusual game (Set), and we explained the rules to the proprietor as he watched us play, but he didn't want to join us. We finished the game, I shuffled the cards like always do, and we put them aside and played a diferent game. Then, we returned to playing Set, and I shuffled the cards again and started to deal them out, face up. The first three cards made a set, which I had never seen happen before; then the next three, and the next three, and so on about 8 times in row. Then it suddenly sopped and the cards went back to appearing normally mxed. My daughter and I both clearly remember me shuffling the cards immeately prior to dealing them out. The odds of this arrangement happening by chance are over 50 trillion to one. When we told the owner what had happened, he immediately chuckled and said, "Oh, Becky was playing with you." We never saw her ghost at all, but overall, it was still quite fun.

My wife saw a ghost in her bedroom one night as a child, but that's another story.

When I lived in my childhood house, the radio would jump on at midnight all by itself....we fought like cats and dogs in that house for years....the moment we moved out , we get along just fine.....when I would try to visit my mother, my sister would try to start fights.....then again my parents were alcoholics and my sister is an addict....so, but the radio and other strange stuff....I just wondered if it went hand and hand. If evil was running amuck with my family.....

I was always curious about the physics of ghosts.

How exactly can we "see" them but video cameras can't?

How exactly do they spend their day when they aren't moving furniture around the house randomly?

Are they conscious? Do they get bored or sad? Why would any spirit "haunt" a particular location when they could be watching Kid Rock and Pamela have sex at their mansion?

The entire concept of ghosts seems to undercut the notion of God having a pan for everyone. You either go to heaven, or hell, or you can just wander around until the busboy clears your table?

    Wha...?

I know. There are so many questions. Can ghosts go into space?

If ghosts are people who suffer horrible deaths, why aren't battlefields such as Bannockburn rife with spirits in turmoil.

if it really was sad people, the earth would be covered in them. And why only night time? Because people are scared and we get hypersensitive and dream.

    Why dont they interact more?

We had one in my house which would always go for this family heirloom. We'd lock it in cupboards and they would shake and burst open at 3am. It used to turn my parents door handle and open the door every night at 3. There would be noone behind it when it opened. One night my dad shouted 'go away' and it did. It came back years later, and they were so freaked out, we moved house.

The bible talks of spiritual things....cherabims and the such has any one really talked about what they would look like heavenly hosts....and the depiction in Revelation people feel better when they say it's symbolization.....they don't know for sure......Giants once live in the land....scientist say dinosaurs lived at one time....so what God have created man is still discovering and all the things that we can't see with the naked eye....

You should check out this cat video on my profile. I think it sounds like the cat is possessed by this guy's grandmother. It sounds like the cat says" Jason, can you hear me?""Look at me. Look at me."" This is your grandma, this is your grandma" It really sounds like that to me. What if a ghost occupied the cat to speak to her grandson. Some one else listen to this video and let me know what you think of it objectively.

What if you are having auditory hallucinations?

The thing is - I do believe that some spirits linger and perhaps play over and over like the needle stuck in the groove of an old record. I have had some encounters with such entities myself...

but that cat wasn't "saying" anything - LOL

you need to go and look at some of the home made videos on video.google and type in ghosts..some of them show aparitions... of course.. they could be hoaxes, but if they are these chaps should be working for hollywood. Not all can be dismissed so easily.

Aye, but there are twin headed monsters in the bible too.

Celestial beings is too vague. They pretty much cover everything weird in the bible. You can't pick and choose what corresponds with what. I love you.
