    I hope we get more priests soon...it's too bad women aren't allowed, I wouldn't mind being a priest if I was allowed

    The more faithful there are, the more vocations will come out of them. It takes (on average) 7 years of formation before becoming a priest. So, even when there is a large growth of the faithful, the vocations that follow are always a few years behind. The shortage problem isn't because there are no women priests.



    Also, a diocese might have 50 parishes, with only 30 priests, however, priest per practicing faithful, is at reasonable levels.



    Things aren't as bad as they seem in the Catholic Church. And I’m very enthusiastic about the Church’s future. God will provide, he always has and always will.
