Sup my myspace fam. The reason I'm writing this entry is because I wanted to share my thoughts on how the music industry plays its role on the standard new comers of the field. My experience in the business has change my life in so many aspects and has made me feel more and more professional each day. Having been around so many grade A entertainers in my short time in the industry I've really built a power love from the business.

My road started of when I went to school at the Institute of Audio Research and completed my time there getting the chance to take a internship at Bad Boy's recording studio DHRS. From their I really started to get the feel and acknowledgement of how the industry really works. First and foremost I want to make it clear to everybody that is in pursuit of being in the entertainment industry that "Dedication Is Key". I use the word dedication as the definition to words such as hustle, grind, focus, and any other words people use to describe their hunger. Think about every time you heard the term "sleep is a waste if time". That saying is something that people live and die by in this industry and take very seriously. Whenever you think that the world is sleeping (whether it 4, 5, or 6 in the morning) always remember that somewhere theirs an artist, producer, or engineer still up working. Even as an intern I could tell you the many times I stayed at the studio all day and all night helping out. You may not get your name credited for the sessions that you help out on but the experience is the reward in these situations.

NETWORKING is far more the most important thing when dealing in entertainment. I have come to realize that if you do not network you do not stand a chance. I can probably say that over 50% of the game is who you know and not what you know. Think about this, when I say "50% of the game" I just don't mean the recording or filming departments. The game goes from the studios to the offices. If you just wanted to be a secretary at a labels office I will still tell you that 50% of the game is who you know and not what you know. To even get crazier, if you just wanted to clean windows and wash toilets I will still tell you 50% of the game is who you know and not what you know because you could be the best toilet scrubber in the world and it don't mean shit lol. So with that being said please take note that Almost every job in the industry is based on references, so please network as much as possible.

Note that fakes always get seen through. Always be yourself no matter if your shy or out-spoken because to each is own and your time will come when it does. You can not force your success but you can always help the process by staying active and involved. Someone very important once told me to keep your eye on the prise because if you really have the love for music then your time will come. Everyday I think about what I can do to further my process and put myself into the right position. I'm always down to learn from any and everybody that can help me because I feel that everybody has something new to offer.

So this was just a little something I wanted to share with everybody and I was inspired by Jack Knight to write my feedback on the industry and how it works from starting point 1. I'll be back with some more of my over-view of the game in the future so keep your eyes and ears open. Till next time, later myspace fam.
