How can you give an MVP award to someone who didn't help his team enough to get into the playoffs?

Where would they have been without him? Probably not even above .500.

I think Jeter and Howard will win it...deserve it? Maybe not, but they will win.

The same can be said in regards to Pujols and the Cards. Jeter and Pujols.

Didn't A-Rod win the MVP when he played for the Rangers, and that year the Rangers didn't even come close to making the playoffs?

    N.L. - Ryan Howard

    A.L. - Justin Morneau

    This is REALLY a no-brainer...

AL- JEEETUH! He's batting .343, OBP is .417. Pretty big numbers for a shortstop. Add to that the fact that he's the unquestioned leader of the GREATEST team in baseball and his "D" and you've go yourself an MVP.

NL - Pujols. Do I even NEED to put up stats here? OK, fine. Some people are on Howard's nuts (58 HR) but look at the rest. Pujols: Avg. .331, Slg, .671, HR 49 and 137 RBI's. Plus, he's BEEN doing that. Not tosay that Howard won't, he's just not as good or as complete as Pujols is yet. Also, Pujols is a leader.
