There are no forums outside of the R&P.

    *****************************************************

3.5 Controversial Topics to Be Discussed Only in Certain Forums

    A. You will make posts regarding the following subjects only in Ethics & Morality, Liberal Theology, Christian Philosophy, or any subforums in the Congregation or Recovery* categories:

    drug use

    gambling

    polygamy

    extramarital or premarital sexual activity

    homosexuality

    transsexuality

    abortion

    ***********************************************************

It's a cunning little clause isn't it? effectively, you are only allowed to discuss these subjects in the negative.

I guess I'm not seeing how it must only be discussed in the negative. For instance, "abortion" is a topic that gets discussed in ethics classes quite frequently. It could be discussed in the Ethics & Morality forum either for or against I would assume. Or am I missing something?

No offense but its thier web site. They have the right to run it any way they want to. They are simply conforming to thier doctrine and should have the right to do that without being disturbed.

Ya - I didn't see it either untill I thought about how forum mods' operate, they're implying that these topics have no place outside of the "allowed" forums and so if you were to talk about them in any positive context outside of those forums then your posts will be deleted as being offensive. They are trying to keep these subjects "in a box" rather than allowing people to raise these issues in reference to the usual Bible talk.

I guess I'm still not seeing it. *shrug*

Started by a teenage male, no doubt.

I'm guessing about 15 years old maybe.

I don't know, I've met a couple of women who look at porn (videos mostly) so it could be for real - and it's posted in a women-only forum.

"A couple of women"? So you think it's an unusual thing for women to look at porn?

There are plenty of women who like porn. All I'm saying is that there are a lot of 15 year old boys who like to pose as girls/women in forums and ask questions like "do you masturbate?"

40 million of my braincells just commited suicide in response to some of the nonsense on that page:

'Atheism has killed more than all religions put together!'

'Belief in evolution leads to infanticide!'

Were the authors dropped on their heads when they were babies?

Good grief... I've just found out that the bulk of "Christian Forums" is for Christians only and before I can even post in the "All members" section (hidden way down at the bottom) I have to make 100 posts elsewhere! There's about 2 or 3 forums I can post in - and they are ones that nobody reads of course.

These people are very keen to keep out the non-christians!

Thats real close to the practises of some early christian groups. A convert was required to live a year or two as a christian under scutiny before being admitted into the church. They are just following tradition.
