it bothers me to a point that i can not be left alone on my choice of religion> wicca. i was brough up in a christian home but i did not find ne thing in the religion unlike wicca. furthermore as wiccans we are asked to be tolerable with other religions so not to start ne thing but why when we r constantly judged a wiccan should not have to hide it is a recognisable religion jst like christianity though i constantly get hate mails for who and wht i am.

Persevere. And use the ignore feature. That will see you through much hate mail.

You need only acknowledge that Wicca is not "the one true religion". There is nothing in Wicca that requires you to put up with other people's intolerance and idiocy.
In Spring waters flows in from the
    Streams, and the quinces swell,
And the grapes, under the vine's
    Shaded tendrils, in the Maiden's
    Unplundered garden.
But for me love is alert
    In all seasons.
    Love is the north wind
On fire with flashes of lightning,
    Sent by the Cyprian.
    It brings a withering madness,
It is black, it is shameless,
    Our hearts through and through
    Are wrung by its violence.

For starters, you're 26 years old so start typing like it...That being said...you're 26 years old why the hell do you care what people think of your religion. You're a god damned adult.

Though im now christian I used to be a Buddhist and I still have many friend who dabble in the occult with some pretty extreme stuff so I know what it feels like to be judged by others. you can't let that get to you. as a follower of Wiccha you should be peaceful and non judgmental and when you let your self become affected by others you become judgmental.

If you have never had an environment in which you are allowed to believe in yourself, and have a sense of self worth, I hope you keep in tune with your inner sense of self. And I hope you find a group of like minded people who you can turn to, and who can turn to you.

Hate is a projection of Christianity which the explanation of it can be found in the Theological text titled The Bible.

"Love your neighbor as you love yourself"

When you get hate mail, it is an opportunity for you to see inside of that person and see in what way they love them self. Because the way they love YOU is how they love them self.

    You see?

And from there, you have an opportunity to strengthen your own religious practices and foundations as regards acceptance and 'healing' of the world and Humanity. Or if you are focussed on yourself, then it is an opportunity for you to do so for yourself.

"I will not allow anyone to walk through my mind with their dirty feet".
    ~ Ghandi~

You see, it is up to you to allow them to place their burden on you and plant the seeds they scatter in the soil of your own Being. And it is up to you to DIS allow them as well.

    :-)

believe it or not you are the first person who has actually posted a comment that i enjoyed reading as i can see you have a valid point it took me right back to my childhood - my mother being catholic and my father presbytrian>>> one of the many reasons why i changed to wicca though i was adopted and i found all this out after i had changed religions the result was the same the conflict that resides in most christians and i deny it to the fault for them.
so for that i thank you.
to the others in the net i also am hoping that others will see that hatred towards others religion is not the way and that fellow wiccans really just want to be left in peace as we mean no harm to others and do not wish to be persecuted any more.

***thank you onc more top your pos. response.

You'll do fine. Keep your goals in order. Recognize your Self as a source and a right. Strive to over come the barriers - if you know what I mean. ;-)

    Ms. Brownes Mill New Jersey:

I do not know wht ur issues are though u left nothing on the forum page other then hatred and scorn. your entry does not have any details or fact of any kind and thus it shows your ignorance is blinding. I do not know wht is more sad a woman who thinks shes better then others, or the fact that she uses cats as a medium to get her message across. "you do know that cats are considered in many cultures and religions including christianity to be evil. they were veered as Gods to the pharohs of Egypt." My topic had nothing to do with what you wrote nor disclaming to any other religion it was meant to be no more then a friendly debate.
As i can tell you are a christian woman so let me leave you with a parting gift that i know you will appreciate. "May the first one with out sin, be the first to cast a stone."

ps . may i say ignorance is bliss.
